"I said, you asshole, sir!"
―Kristen calling Brett an asshole.

Kristen De Silva is a cadet sergeant at the Kent Military school, and the love interest of Andy Barclay. She is also the best friend of Ivers, who is often seen by her side.

Biography[]

Kristen is the daughter of an outstanding superior officer at Kent. She seems keen to follow in his acclaimed footsteps, but she is often disciplined for her "back talking" to higher officers. However, she mentions to Andy that she can't seem to get herself thrown out.

Child's Play 3 (1991)[]

When Andy arrives at Kent, he and Kristen witness Shelton bullying a fellow student named Whitehurst. Upon seeing this, Kristen calls him an "asshole" under her breath, which Shelton hears. She is forced to do 25 push-ups for insulting Shelton, and Andy immediately takes a liking to her, as she does to him. During shooting practice later in the day, Whitehurst introduces Andy to Kristen, where he is impressed by her accurate shooting skills. As she teaches him how to properly aim his rifle, Andy mentions how he is grateful for her standing up for them to Shelton.

In the night, Kristen and Ivers break curfew to sneak into Colonel Cochrane's office so they can find out more about Andy by reading his file. Before they can read the entirety of his file, they hear a noise coming from the closet, only to find Tyler hiding inside with Chucky. The two girls laugh, and try to annoy Tyler by using Ivers' lipstick and smears it all over Chucky's mouth. When they hear Cochrane returning to his room, they grab Tyler and quickly leave, forgetting Chucky.

Kristen at the War Games.

The next day, the War Games go on as scheduled, with Kristen put on the blue team, the same as Andy. They hike out to their team base, and Kristen tells a scary story over a campfire. When Andy leaves the fire, Kristen follows after him, concerned her story offended him. She leads him over to a cliff overlooking a carnival, where they trade first names and share a kiss.

After Andy steals Shelton's map and goes missing, the blue team marches from their base to track down Andy, who has been deemed a traitor. Shelton has Kristen split from the group to cover their right side, and orders her to call in on her radio every five minutes. While Kristen is on patrol, Chucky jumps on top of her from a tree and holds her hostage with a grenade. He uses her radio to contact Andy, demanding Tyler be brought to the old Jeep or else he will kill Kristen. However, at the same time he uses the radio to advice the red team to come to the old Jeep as well. As Tyler swaps places with Kristen, the red team arrives and fires at the blue team, unaware Chucky switched their paintballs with live rounds.

Amidst the chaos Tyler escapes, and before going after him, Chucky tosses the armed grenade at the cadets. Whitehurst leaps on top of the grenade and sacrifices himself to save the others. As the rest of the cadets try and figure out what happened, Andy and Kristen run after Tyler, knowing Chucky is also after the boy. Entering the carnival, they try to find the security guard for help. However, they find the guard dead as Chucky already killed him, so Kristen takes his gun. They then see Tyler being forced by Chucky into a haunted house called the Devil's Lair. Once inside, Kristen attempts to shoot Chucky, but is instead shot in the leg by the doll. After Andy applies a tourniquet to her leg, Kristen gives him her gun to kill Chucky. Andy leaves her behind, and finally manages to defeat Chucky. Afterwards, the medics arrive and treat Kristen her gunshot wound. She asks Andy if he is going to be okay, but he reassures her that he has been through this before. She smiles at him, as she is taken away and he is loaded into the back of a police car.

Trivia[]
